Jan 28, 2013 · Hello: I have what looks to be an antique Polynesian? carved Whalebone and Hardwood tribal style adornment with a huge primary center tooth (?) with dimensions of 5 1/2 " long x 1" wide by 1/2" diameter. It was acquired by a U.S. Naval Officer circa WWII in the Hawaiian Islands. It is very unique and has what appears to be scrimshaw carvings.
